Official Oddworld Competition!
Hello Oddworldians,
So, we have a competition on our hands, and I don't mean one that I'VE conjured up (those ones don't tend to get any entries these days).
As our favourite bounty hunter is making his debut on the Nintendo Switch, with the action-packed "Stranger's Wrath" being released on the Switch on the 23rd of January, Oddworld Inhabitants are having an official contest.
The winner gets a copy of the game!
The makers are having a "Live Ammo Contest", similar to the one this very group had early on in its infancy! They're challenging you to design your own ammo type for the legendary steef to use in his crossbow. Will you imagine a bug type bullet like the "Zappfly"? Or can you see yourself creating a humourous critter, like the "Chippunk"?
Whatever it is, you can submit your ideas before 17th January to have a shot (*bu-dum-tsh*) as the grand prize.
They're also allowing the use of ANY media! Be it a sketch, painting, 3-D rendering, paper mache, tattoo...mashed potato sculpture... Not a big artist? No sweat, you can submit anyway and give them a description of the ammo type you'd use.
Remember, get your entries in before 17th January. There's a template found on their Facebook page they've created to help (not needed for entry, but it couldn't hurt);
Send your submissions to community@oddworld.com. Make sure you label it "LIVE AMMO CONTEST".
If you do put forward an idea, please please PLEASE post them here! We would LOVE to see them! Post them in the "COMPETITIONS" folder so we can have a good gander. Don't worry about being the best artist, your creativity is the most important thing!
